But i would suggest getting a tune for it, because it does make the car run a whole lot leaner!!

Heres a link if you just want the fliter http://lancershop.com/customer/produ...7&cat=2&page=1 but the sedution kit does help with spool!
Just what I wanted to hear mate, thanks

Awesome intake system when tuned You can't go wrong with HKS products. Their track records speak for itself!

Works great w/ HKS Kansai CF airbox!

HKS Kansai CF airbox will only work w/ HKS Kansai Intake System (very similar to HKS RS), However, a slight modification like this will make the HKS RS intake kit to fit the Kansai CF airbox very nicely. The snorkel section is much bigger than stock.

VERY NICE. I like it.

I am guessing the air box restricts the noise that this intake puts out?

Loud as hell, no filter what so ever, I had one on my VIII, it also needs to be tuned as it effects the MAF. Get a dry intake filter, be done with it.

There are actually 2 types of replacement filters. Once which is a 3 layer which I think I have read they recommend changing every 10k and the and the other is a 2 layer which I think was to be changed about every 5 k.

I have had the intake for about a year and have no complaints.

If you search around a little I know someone posted a link to a filter review of multiple different filters including this HKS. As someone posted earlier it is horrible at filtering out particles right out of the box (doesn't matter if you change it every 5k). Its flow rate was good but almost equal if not, a little better (when I say little Im mean very little) then some of the competitors that filtered alot better. I believe (my sole opinion from the review I read) it is a garbage product that you are just paying for the name. I originally wanted this setup and ended up going with a better filter to keep my motor clean and not lose any power from it.

Search around and Im sure you'll find the link. I would highly not recommend going with this setup unless you are planning on tearing your motor apart alot to clean and repair components damaged from all the crap it sucks in, and/or two you are an HKS fanboy and just dont care. LOL.

Seriously though search around! If I find that link Ill post it up here it was an independent review that was not done by any filter manufacturer so that gives me a little more trust in its info.

I've heard lots of good things about the filter which is why I purchased one and am currently waiting for it to arrive. The first ever Evo I test drove had this intake on there and I swear when the car started boosting, I almost shat my pants from hearing that thing spool. Definitely enhances spool and bov. Looking forward to hearing it everyday
