HKS racing suction intake.. thoughts?
As long as you get rid of your air box, which has baffles to reduce the noise from the turbo, you will hear your car spool like crazy if thats what your looking for. By just removing my airbox and using a MAF adapter and K&N filter my car spools crazy loud, which will happen with any filter setup minus the factory airbox I believe.

Awesome intake system when tuned
You can't go wrong with HKS products. Their track records speak for itself!

Works great w/ HKS Kansai CF airbox!

HKS Kansai CF airbox will only work w/ HKS Kansai Intake System (very similar to HKS RS), However, a slight modification like this will make the HKS RS intake kit to fit the Kansai CF airbox very nicely. The snorkel section is much bigger than stock.

You gonna cry because someone put you in your place for being a douche? Ya you gave us your experience in a ******** way so next time dont be such a spode and jump to conclusions talking about rice bs.

I was going to say something, but decided to keep my words to my self, glad someone else did haha!
So what intake you going with?
Wanting to hear the sound of your DV and turbo should NEVER be a reason to buy an intake. NEVER. Especially since buying an intake can screw your MAF reading up royally if not done correctly. Jumping to conclusions about rice? Maybe you should re-think that.
Also, note I said semi-rice. Some people actually expressed care in the performance aspect of getting the intake, which should be the only reason behind considering getting one.

I never said I didn't care about performance, but it would be a plus being able to hear everything and add some more HKS to my car. I'm not a 100% HKS junkie but why not add onto it if I can.
Plus, there's better intakes available, and they all pretty much sound the same.
I've had my HKS Rs intake for awhile and I've had no problems. I don't use the hks filter though. Just to give you an idea I went to Sean Iveys and he tuned my car w/bolt-ons and a drop-in. He suggested that if I was sticking with the stock turbo for awhile that I should get the HKS intake. I took his advice and was back a couple of months later. I don't remember the exact temps outside but they were similar to each other. When I left the first time I made 323awhp and first pull with the HKS made 360awhp. I was slightly lean and ended up with what you see in my sig. I think it's a great intake.
Put me in my place? Surely you jest. Seems like you're the one crying. Getting defensive about being called out on ricer-ness? If the shoe fits...

As for the intake, of course I want power, but hearing my turbo and dv is just iceing on the cake.
