AFAIK, the WHITE has the new HTA Compressor wheel with the stock USDM Turbo Inconel Turbine Wheel. The Ti/Al Turbine wheels are on some JDM models (RS/GT).
With that said, comp wheel design at an OE level is an iterative process between aero and stress. Once the proposed aero camber sheets are defined, a mechanical design study ensures that the resulting blade frequencies and backdisk & hub stresses are appropriate. If not, this is fed back into the aero and so on until a solution emerges (or doesn't).

Correct. The max speedline is not its natural burst speed but is still set by mechanical considerations (cyclic fatigue, plastic deformation) of the comp wheel. A wheel that has been oversped will show evidence visible to the naked eye.

Thanks for clarifying your comments about overspeed and max speed, very clear and accurate. We were being a little more basic about what we were referring to as "too fast". Too fast was the point where flow didnt increase, but temps and turbine pressure did.

Depends on whether the ECU is looking at period, frequency, or speed on that input, and how it measures a trigger edge, how far below 5v it needs to see before it switches.

Robert, I think that right there summed up the last few months of all this really complicated turbo talk and graphs and charts and such that most of us sat looking at like monkeys trying to do algebra lol.
Robert, with your average oe actuator or an uprated one, is there any chance whatsover of reaching this "too fast" point? Or is it the case that exhaust backpressure will always open the gate before you get to the point of being "too fast".
