10.72 @ 129 Red Turbo

Went to the track tonight, and made three consecutive runs with the new RED turbo. I have had this turbo on the car for about a month or so! I absolutly love it, and i think alot of people will also. This turbo spools awesome and holds boost very well. First pass off the trailor was a 10.79 @ 128.5 with a 1.48 60 ft. the second pass was a 10.73 @ 129.2 and the last pass was 10.72 @ 128.8 with a 1.47 60ft. Like Dave said i was running pump gas and a mix of 110.
I had previously gone 10.97 @ 126, on pump gas but come to find out i had a boost leak The only thing i do is drive the car and change oil, I should start looking things over a little better!!
I pretty much half *** tuned the car, which i know for a fact the car will run the same times on straight pump gas once Dave retunes it. Im no tuner by any means so im pretty happy with the outcome tonight.

I hit 30 psi in fourth gear @ 5900 and the boost fell to 28.52 @ 7700 rpm. Very impressive, because when i ran the 10.97 it hit 27-28 and fell to 21 psi, thats when i found the boost leak.
Driving the car everyday and I love it, spools great and makes great power.

My mods are
Buschur stage 3 motor and head with 18,000 miles
br-bf272 cams
BR race front mount
BR double pumper
Stock ported intake and throttle body
BR 3" exhaust
BUSHWACKER STAGE 1 TRANNY
My car weights in at 3275 with me in it, my car is not gutted. Thanks David for the awesome motor that has been beaten like a red headed step child, and Thank you Robert for the baddest turbo for an evo!!

My goal is to go low low tens on some real race gas, with this setup i dont see a problem doing it!

congrats man!

I know ur a helluva driver. If I can hit 10s when I get mine put in I will be ecstatic. I have basically the same mods, but different cams, and no double pumper.

You havent even had your Red ported have you?

very nice, a 10 second stock appearing setup... that's great bang for the buck.

thinking about doing another pump gas run without the leaks?

No the turbo is untouched, how FP sent it to me is how i installed it. Hell i dont think its a high boost acuator

I lifted to shift on every pass, the turbo comes right back into boost so i dont think i would much more than a tenth with power shifting! YOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH THIS TURBO

Great times Trent! Keep at it and you'll reach your goals.

We need to get your 60's down some more. I know there is more there even at D42.

Thanks!!
I think the only way im going to get better 60's is to shed some weight, but i dont want to do that. I might muster a 1.45 with race gas, we will soon find out
Hell im ready to drive it to the shop and have Dave tune it tomorrow and head back out sunday

Awesome!

There not broke in till 20,000

My motor went in, put 5 quarts of oil in, started it up, checked for leaks, tied it on the dyno then ran it up to 9000 rpm to seat the rings.

This is an AEM car right?? I'm still wondering whether this would be better on pump gas compared to the HTA 35r.. I'm sooo torn up on what turbo to go with ugh!

did you dyno the car with the current boost/tune Trent? 129mph is pretty stout.

what was the best trap on pump previously with the boost leak?
