Are all E9 rear differentials LSD?
I recently bought a used E9 rear diff assembly since my E6RS diff was binding horribly on tight turns causing all sorts of horrendous skipping, hopping, and clunking and it was getting worse. I would even get clunks in a straight line coming on and off the clutch.
The new E9 diff assembly fixed all of this, but now that I've swapped it I am wondering if this diff indeed contains an LSD diff or just and open diff? Anyone knows? I would hope that all evo rear mechanical diffs would be LSD, but I know you do have a choice of open and LSD for the front diff so who knows about the rear.
thanks.

The only open diff in the recent Evo 8/9 was the front diff in the '03 Evos, along with some '04s. The rear diff in all of them is a mechanical LSD, although the JDM and EDM have the AYC in the rear.
