not really sure, I weigh 170ish and I haven't done any intentional weight reduction...BR 3" exhaust is lighter but the FMIC is heavier, 35R is heavier than stock turbo...etc...

Same as I said in the pm, raise your limiter to 8500 and you will be able to hit 100mph in the 1/8. I am not sure if you are making enough power, but it is worth a try. For reference my 1/8th mile mph on my 11.1 @131 pass was 99.4mph. My other two 130mph passes had 1/8th mile trap speeds of 97 mph, probably because I short shifted a bit (8300rpm).

So yeah, I found my 'gremlin'. Inetrcooler pipe coupler blew off the turbo outlet on the last pass. Brought the car back to the pits, jacked it up and saw a 'rambo knife' gash on the rubber coupler. Only reason for finding it is the hoseclamp popping off. Thank God. Hopefully that crap is behind me now.

Pass after pass going through data logs thinking it was my boost controller settings..

Psi dropped EVERY gear past 74-7500. I still haven't figured why it would hold boost till then, but I guess with the motor torquing it helped stretch the coupler enough for it to bleed? Who knows.

Here's a log from one of my passes... you can clearly see the psi drops gear to gear.

There's the extra mph that I've been looking for all along. Actually trying to rev the motor out to 8500 dropped my trap speeds considerably. I ended up spending more time on the track out of the powerband.

On a better note-- those drag radials were HOOKIN. 1.6's all day with 6500 2step. Best pass of the day eneded up being another 11.3@121mph.

nice straight clean launces.

Again..

And again.. ( coupler blew off on this one )

Oops, I missed...

All in all a great day. I suggest that anyone who wants to drag their car to go for a track rental day. There's no limit to the amount of passes you can make. I could have easilly taken 20 or more passes today, I chose to give the car time to cool down and that took up more time than any long waitng line. Tech guys are laid back. People are real racers and easy to be around.

It was very nice spending some time with the TTrix crew. These guys are very friendly and good at what they do. They helped Ricky, owner of Top Level, get deeper into the 9's. Big thanks to Mark and Jr. for the invite and lending me a hand as well.

Next up, fix the coupler, set the boost, re-draw the afr curve, and kick the 10's right in the teeth.

Glad you found your problem bro. 10's is right around the corner. You should make yourself a boost leak tester and test for leaks before you hit the track. Do you know when is the next track rental??

It has lasted going on 2 racing seasons and a lot of road driving for me. As long as you don't tune your car llike crap, you would be surprised how long they will last.

Like I said, It looked like Rambo went on a secret mission under the car, took his knife and 'slashed' the coupler....hehehe

I have t-bolt clamps on my lower intercooler pipe. My car rides on the low side. I guess I snagged something that jarred the pipe and tore the coupler.

In analyzing the above data I was able to see a few things.

A- Even though I'm no 'trent-o-matic' my shifts were sharp and consistent. I average below .3 sec per shift-every shift.

B- Car drops 5-6 psi @ 74-7500 every time. My mph was mid 120's shifting at 75-7800 but low 120's shifting at 8500.

C- The boost leak also dulled the RESPONSE time of the turbo. After shifts from the time I was 100% tps to full boost .5 secs were lost.. X 3 shifts and we are talking 1.5secs lost before the boost was up to full par.

D- Second gear barely had boost at all. The lag to full boost vs. the gear ratio made this particular gear useless. Now I see why I can't break 6.99 to the 1/8th. No thrust at all at this point.

E- The ETS cooler was working it's majic!! Intake temps were DROPPING through the pass. 116deg at start to 114 at finnish. Temps would have dropped more if the turbo wasn't working so hard to keep the motor at full load.

Data logging is your friend. It can tell you everything happening under the hood and in the driver's seat as well.
