I've heard you can adjust your clutch to make it last a little longer after it starts slipping. Anyone know if this is true and if so, in which direction do you adjust it?

Because clutches are not covered under warranty. They are considered a fair wear and tear item just like brake pads and tires.

It depends on how you hard you drive after it starts slipping...

Cheers!

Same here, except 42.5k. No real hard launching, but now it slips bad if I try to take off in boost to get out of the way of something... Trying to make it to 45k before I replace it.

If it slips the same day you buy the car with 6miles on it I'd think you could get it replaced?!?!

I think that would void your warranty rather - for not following the break in period.

II clutch, and couldn't be happier.

So you're saying that driving on a hill in the first 6 miles is not following the break in period? and is going to void the warranty?

My bought my car with 15K so I didn't have to break it in so I don't know. Just another noob looking for some info...

Not to ressurect the dead here, but My clutch started slipping the beginning of last November ('08), I pretty much babied it since then and it finally started slipping under medium acceleration in 1st and very very low acceleration in 5th last week. My car was/is completely bone stock and I had about 19k miles last november, and I have about 28k now.
