cam gear settings
Ported head, heavily worked intake manifold, large runner tubular exhaust manifold, 4" IC, 3" IC piping, 3" straight through exhaust... Everything to support a 35R or bigger turbo besides the bottom end but with a IX turbo cork in the way.
As I said though, the -4/0 is just what I found that worked and it may be due to the later intake closing time...or it may be because it reduced overlap. Hard to say. Either way though, retarding the intake cam is the way to go on my setup. Moving the exhaust cam hurt power every where going either direction, which was surprising.

3-4k and 26 psi on the GT35 is big time surge area going by the compressor flow map. I would imagine it is compressor surge, particularly if you are using an unported compressor cover or one of the non-Garrett covers. I'd maybe consider the ECU based boost control by gear and back off the low end duty cycle in the high gears.
A related question. Is it pissing off the knock sensor below 4k RPM? When I had it on -4/0 I noticed that it seemed to set off the knock sensor in the 3.5k range considerably more often then on the 0/0 settings.

As we have close to the same setup, I have mine at -5/0 and can tell a big difference especially compared to my dyno plot from last time at 0/0. But I too saw this same thing when messing with the exhaust cam.
Hi Ted, im back and will hope you could kindly advise me on my Gsc S2 cams setting with Gt3076R / 2.0L 8.5.1 comp
After my rebuilt some years back, ive put in S2 cams and runs with my stock Evo 5 turbo but honestly after the swap, ive no longer gets the low end response as my stock cams.
The cams were dial as GSC Spec's.
So, now im still exploring on what is the best cams setting for my S2 with Gt3076r 2.0liter engine?
How to improve response with the Cams? As before i change to Gt30 turbo, whenever i immediate full throttle my car feel very heavy and ive to immediate partial lift off and re-throttle again only than the car catapult.
Can i swap the S2 Intake cams with Evo 8Mr and Exht remain S2?
Thanks
