cam gear settings
When we speak of lobe centerlines, we speak in crank degrees, and your setting puts you at 103/109, which is too tight for best power, and yes, will make the idle very, very choppy.
I would go back to 0/0.
i was looking through here and didnt find anything about comp 280 cams... i have them and was wondering what to set them at... i have a built motor with a ported n polished head w different springs, and a gt 35r on it at 26-28 psi...
The setting I gave will improve high rpm power because Comp Cams "280" only have about 265 deg or so of advertised duration, so they are not the long duration cams they appear to be to the common consumer. The 104 deg intake lobe centerline coupled with the mild duration closes the intake valve a little early, which makes the engine feel more torquey at low and midrange rpm, but the powerband will begin to drop early in the GT35R's power range.
