O2 Sensor answer!

Ok, for like a month I have been asking and looking and trying to find a solution to a new 02 sensor. It seems like a million people have the same question as me but no one seems to have a whole lot of information outside of buying a new one stock for $250 - $300, or buying a splice and dice job for like $50 - $80.

So, the solution is on oxygensensors.com. Walker makes a replacement O2 sensor that is a direct plug in, no wire cutting is necessary. It even comes with a new grommet for the low low price of $59 with free shipping to anywhere in the US. The part number is 250-24224. This could not be easier or cheaper compared to anything else out there. It was only $10 more than the kind where you splice the wires. I just hooked mine up, it was very easy and clean to do. I have only driven a few miles, but so far all is good. I'll post again if any problems arise with it.

I get different part numbers for my '05. I come up with an OE one for pre and post cat, and an aftermarket one for pre-cat

I have an 03, so the newer ones may have a different plug.

I remember some people mentioned better MPG's with a different (non factory equiped) o2 sensor. Do you notice any difference in your MPG's? (Compared to your previous o2 during its proper working period)

Buy and splice. The front one is the only important one, the rear is just BS emissions.

I have been using this sensor for almost a month now and it works great. I havent thrown a code since I installed. This is the best 60 bucks you can spend if you need a new sensor.

Yep, i spoke to a technician at Denso and he said that the Denso O2 will work fine. And Denso makes alot of the OEM O2 sensors. Plug in play without cutting and splicing.
