I am currently having my T-Case and Rear differential fluids changed... The dealer didn't mention anything about a center diff. I don't believe the 04 RS has a center diff that can split power from front to rear or vice versa. Maybe I'm wrong... Just wanna find out if I have one and if it's somethin I should be getting serviced.

If you are having your Transfer case fluid changed you are having your center diff fluid changed. They are one in the same.

 

All Evos have a center diff. Did you mean to ask whether or not it has ACD? ACD has separate fluid, but 04s don't have ACD, so it's not a separate thing.

Oooo Ok.. I know the car doesn't have an ACD but I guess I was confused about the center diff. I was certain that the 04 RS couldn't transfer power from front to rear. I'm currently under the impression that it has a set power ratio for front and rear. I thought the purpose of a center diff was to transfer power from front to rear.

The center diff is a must on AWD cars. The diff allows the tires to spin at different rates just like the front and rear diff.

ACD allows the user to set the center diff to a different amount of slip, rather than just having one setting like your car.

 

RS has a Front LSD which the all 03's and the 04's GSR models didnt get
