it is made for the 6 speed. if the dealer is putting something else then it could have been the other diaqueen 75-80 which is only good for the 5 speed. I'm at 27K miles already and went ahead with the 30K service hence got the tranny oil replaced. as for performance, it should be ideal for the 6 speed.

It's actually supposed to replace the old 5 speed fluid as well. Some dealers are late on getting this info because they probably don't see many Evos.

huh? Didn't you just imply in your previous post that you understood that this is a new formulation and not the original stuff?

I got a few irons in the fire right now, but one of the things I'm working on is lab test of the SuperDiaQueen vs. the Castrol SynTorq LT that I sell. Based upon my experience with both fluids, my gut tells me the Castrol will come out on top. But I need factual evidence and data to back my gut up. $90 for that fluid is a little silly IMHO, especially if it's not a full synthetic.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It is a new formula, from about two years ago. I said some dealers are a little late on getting the news. Plus I drive 35k+ a year
