Mixing E85 with pump gas???

Has anyone tried running a mixture of E85 and regular pump gas?

I've been interested in E85, but it would be burdensome to bring enough with me to make through track weekends (probably 50+ gallons). If I did a 50/50 mix with pump gas, then it would seem that I could have 100+ octane mixture for a lot less money than buying race gas.

With typical alcohol injection systems, you aren't running more than 20-30% alcohol, so I would think that a 50/50 mix would be plenty to see a lot of benefit from the ethanol.

Anyone done this? Anything I'm missing on why this wouldn't work well?

Thanks!

This has been done by a few on here. You would indeed reap the benefits of higher octane. I wonder if you'd need more injector for this mix?
