ACT clutches suckk... no joke... have had about 3 installed on my car and they just blow! period... everytime i TRACK the car something always breaks.. its garbage... do yourself a favor and get a twin disk... CALL IT A DAY..
you wont have to worry about anything with that Twin Disk...
EVEN IF YOUR ONLY PUSHING LIKE 350hp
theres not bandwagon to jump on.. It's easy and simple, and it works. That's why everyone has one

Fix your car up right the first time

Ok, after some more mileage and abuse on the HDG6 its grabbing a little harder and first gear starts will tend to chatter occasionaly, nothing terrible completely driveable.

I had three other EVO owners drive the car and they all liked the clutch, most thought the pedal was slightly stiffer than stock but nothing they would call "stiff." They all gave the clutch a thumbs up and said they would have no problems driving it. They all NLTS and thought it was great.

I found out from a buddy of mine locally that he installed the 6puck ACT in his evo and its still going strong after multiple launches, races, GT35R and 46,000 miles.

i would not risk getting an egay knock off exedy clutch.

I use my EVO as a DD and think about going with the gruppe-s deal. Stage 1 Exedy clutch and flywheel for $575 shipped.

If i had money i would go with a twin disk exedy but that is way too much money for me.

This is a great article. Great feedback coming from all the guys.

My stock clutch made it 32,000 with lots of racing. I just replaced it with a Exedy Twin Disk and light weight flywheel. The grip of the clutch is so good i love it! it is my DD and it is n ot hard to drive at all.

Ive had nothing but issues with my Exedy HD twin.. I have sent it back to Exedy to get checked.. Replaced the master and clutch slave JUST to make sure that wasnt the issue and have had my trans go back to Shep 3 times now!! This last time i went as far as putting a new input shaft in and replacing 1st and 2nd gear... The clutch drags and trys to engauge off the floor once i have driven the car for about 30-45mins EVERYTIME! Before it does that itll shift and work fine with no grinds.. But once the car fully warms up and gets some heat "30-45mins" the clutch acts up and trys to start disengauging off the floor and will grind my 2nd gear... There is no adjustment left on the clutch either.. if i go anymore itll start to preload the clutch. If Exedy doesnt replace my LEMON of a clutch "which in my honest opinion after all the trouble and $ spent/blown they SHOULD!!" I will be going QM twin push style.
