Exclamation no start

I have a 06 evo ix with the basic bolt-ons and 680cc injectors+green. Today i was pushing the car 1st to 2nd and as soon as i hit third gear the car just died and lost power. I have had my share of several boost leaks and intercooler pipes popping off the throttle body and intercooler in the past but this time its just different.

There was no sound what's so ever, it was weird. i looked at my dash and i was pressing the gas pedal but my rpms where falling until it died. Usually when you get a boost leak/intecooler pipe popping off you can atleast rev a bit and the car will try to stay on.

Now the car won't start, it will crank forever but will just not start. I'm thinking if could be the crank position sensor, ill be pulling the code tomorrow (if any) as i didnt have the code reader on me.

I will also check for lower intercooler pipes, but like i said, there was no sound at all it just died on me and didnt it didnt try to stay on.

Any ideas?

Have you checked your engine fuses( underhood, and I believe here is one under the dash as well) I would check any fuse dealing with the operation of the vehicle. Does your fuel pump come on when you turn the key?(getting fuel?) look things over, its probably simple.

EvolvedGTI - ill check today if the fuel pump comes on. I'll take it to the shop to check the fuses/relay.

I really hope it's somthing simple.

UPDATE:

Upon further seaching on the forum, i highly suspected the fuel pump to have failed. Indeed the pump failed and when replaced with a new one problem solved
