Did Kelford send me the wrong cams?
Did Kelford send me the wrong cams?
Sup guys, so I recently just ordered a set of the Kelford 9-177-E cams aka 280/272s for my Evo 9.
I received the box, but when I opened them and checked out the spec sheet, I'm a little skeptical as to whether or not they're the right cams!
These are 280 intake 272 exhaust with an intake lift of 11.5mm and exhaust lift of 11mm.
Here's what the spec sheet says...
Camshaft part number: 9-177-E
Cam lift- Intake: 6.65mm Exhaust: 3.36mm
Rocker ratio- Intake:1.73 Exhaust: 1.73
Nett valve lift- Intake: 11.5mm Exhaust: 5.81mm
Advertised duration @.10mm- Intake: 280 Exhaust: 272
Duration @ lift- Intake: 238 Exhaust: 226
Any help would be greatly appreciated....As you guys can see above, it says that the valve lift on the exhaust cam is only 5.81mm

I'm surprised you went with the 272's actually.
Wonder why kelford didn't recommended there new design 280 cam! they just come out couple of months back don't think there advertised on website yet either but if you call them they'd be more than happy to tell you about them.
I lost 3kw up to 3,000 revs, 3 to 4,000 revs gained 23kw, 5 to 7,000 gained 33kw. Overall picked up 38kw up top over the 272's @ 7800rpm on GT35R 2.3 stroker.
422 wheel kw 98 octane pump (same as US 93 octane)
There the **** aye, everybodys raving bout them here in the NZ evo scene
