Nos Evo!?

Hi all, I was wondering what is the cheapest and safest way to get more top end pull out of the evo? like after 80mph, it feels like a diff car after u put it in fifth gear. I was thinking getting nos for now, then i can use the money for the turbo upgrade and get teins, rims, rallyart mirror and ect... I might want to wait for more company to put out their turbo upgrade before i decide. so is nos the way to go now or u guys suggest something else, I love to drive, but i am a mech dumb dumb. thanks for all ur input in advance.

you don't want to do anything cheap to this car. its just not worth it. save up money and do everything the right way. get some staged upgrades to start out with..or like the usual turbo back exhaust and intake combo...and a bigger intercooler..stuff like that should make you happy...also an AFC or whatever fuel managment u want.

I second the above comment. you will br alot happier with quality parts than nos. If you want a quick bump im power go buy a MBC to up the psi

As long as you dont go overboard with it yes, I think its safer. I think people have gone up to 22psi with no problems. There should be a thread on it somewhere.

there are many ways to get more performance than NOS. i have the vishnu xede unit that alters the a/f, timing and boost from the factory. these will allow you to go faster safely and reliably.

I was thinking of getting a piggy back computer also, but most of the shop is out west, so i really don't have any support here in ny if anything go wrong. unless u guys have any suggestion. but do u need a piggy back computer if u r running nos? because u r changing injector and stuff? I was looking @ 350HP, i think that will keep me happy for a while.

If you want more power, try using all the rev range. Keep it in third or fourth gear if you want more pull at 80mph.
