HKS Turbo Timer Type 0
HKS Turbo Timer Type 0
I just installed a HKS Type 0 Turbo Timer and when I take the key out the RPMs drop almost to 100 and then jump to 2000 before returning to normal 750-1000 idle while counting down. Is this normal?
The timer does countdown and then shut the car off but it seems odd for the RPMs to drop (feels like car is about to stall). My buddy has a STI with the same timer and when his key is taken out there is no drop.
I am using the Greddy harness and have hooked the RPM wire to the green/brown wire on the first ECU harness 4th wire on top.
If this is not normal any suggestions to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Type 1 with the Greddy Harness too, and I have almost the same problem. Sometimes it will stay idling as normal and sometimes it will jump to about 2000 RPMS like yours is doing. I really don't know what the problem is, I'm hoping that after a while it will start working as normal.
Same thing here
.Sometimes gets even worse.RPM's drop to around 100 ,then jump to 3000 and after that engine shuts off and I cant start back on.I can turn it back on after I take key out
