Update- We should have everything we need for the full kits in about 2 weeks or less. The last and final thing we are waiting on are the t-bolts and hose couplers. Once they are in, we need to start scheduling days for everyone to do their test fits.

Sorry for the delay guys. We've just been waiting on some other components to be finalized. We've just setup a development deal with K&N. So, the kits will be outfitted with genuine K&N filters and we're going to test some heat shielding this week. So, this will be a truly complete kit. I'll post up more once we have updates. We'll be running this car with all the parts at Buttonwillow for Redline Time Attack next weekend as well to get some track data with the setup.

Can't wait to see the finished product!!!

Would you need to run both the BOV and DV? Or just one of the 2?

Thanks.

We designed it to fit either unit.

Check out the https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...t-results.html thread on this board; the K&N filter was one of the worst performing (~10whp down from the Perrin and Amsoil).

Sorry to sound like a jerk aswell, but your intercooler pipe looks like a rip off of one I had on my car 2 years ago before I changed out to Buschur's using the small battery kit. I forget the company name which made a pipe extremely similar to your design but if your trying to create something for stock battery you are years behind.....

It is just a pipe and there are only so many ways to route it. So, there isn't much ripping off to be done, especially when you're making it from scratch. Just because we are only doing it now, doesn't mean it shouldn't be done at all. The whole point is to have something that fits around our BOV.

S2K, thanks for the heads up. That is a great little thread. We're making our own intake pipe and not using the FIPK kit actually. And we are probably going to use some other dimension filter than what comes in the FIPK kit.

why is the uicp going over the intake??? it should go under. it would be shorter and have no 90 degree bend. kinda silly doing it this way when everyone else does it the other way in some sense

We did it this way to achieve 3 goals:

1) I needed the entry angle into the turbo inlet to be minimized and going over would require more angle

2) Going over eliminated 1 additional bend, and I'm more concerned with max velocity before having to make the bend into the throttle body to reduce signal attenuation right before the TB entry.

3) The piping is setup so that if you start off with a big battery and you choose to switch over to the small battery, you only have to buy 1 pipe instead of having to get both pieces of the LICP.

We picked up some new samples from K&N and found a much larger filter that will fit both small and big battery setups. what I like best about this kit is the nice transition of the velocity stack from the K&N. We'll be doing some development with them to insure that there isn't a horsepower loss here. I believe that this much larger filter will take care of any of those issues.

I definitely cannot wait to get this setup!!! I'm very interested to see the heat shielding. I've heard that the Green filters are good as well.
