I installed mine yesterday.
My duty cycle (the number next to "A") is 53, and my SPR is 11. My boost does not spike but it goes up and down between 17 and 18 constantly.
SPR is meant to equal the stock wastegate spring pressure, i think. I've toyed around with mine and didnt notice any difference when it was on 5 and when it was on 11.
Check for a boost leak.

By the way, the duty cycle is just what you use to increase or decrease the boost. You start low and keep increasing it until your car is running at the boost level you want.
I would suggest adjusting your SPR down to 11, and lower if its not holding it steady

There is an excellent write up on this in the AEM forum. I have my spring pressure set to 10. A good way to determine this is the turn it off. Then go get on the highway and stand on it. You should only hit about 10 to 11 lbs. That is a good indicator what you wastegate is holding before it dumps. I have my A set to 66 and my B set to 68. I make 22 lbs on A tapering to 21.8 at redline and about 25 tapering to 23.4 on meth on B. Any show stopper questions let me know. Ive had mine for a while and i really do like it..
