Question To E85 or not to E85. That is the question

Heres the low down. Its a 2003 Evo 8, FULL bolt ons, IX turbo, Cosworth M3 cams, blah, blah, blah, u get the picture. I put down 330whp/327trq on VIVIDS MUSTANG DYNO on 91 pump gas @24 psi holding 21.5 to redline in around 100 degree heat. To most of u that dont know, this is a very low reading dyno, that would translate this same power into approx. 370whp on your typical dynojet. Now heres my question. Ive been wanting to switch to E85 now for the longest time, and have been getting mixed opinions about it. What Im worried about is my clutch. Its the stocker..... I know ill need one eventually, but will the car be able to hold an expected gain of 40+whp for long? Im lookin around 420+whp(dynojet) @30 psi when everything is all said and done....... This is not a drag race car or anything, but am pretty concerned about my clutch not lasting me more than just a bit. What should I do? Go all out and tune it for 30 psi and just cross my fingers, or mildly tune for around 27 psi and stay on the safe side and still gain some great power???? ANY advice is appreciated. Thanks ppl

Go all out just easy on that shifting and launching. no need to slam gears. only do it when necessary- LIKE RUNNING AN STI

I say you go all out and tune it for 30psi on E-85. Just get a clutch on order and do it up.

But I mean you should ask your tuner and see what he says

You really think itll hold thru all the gears at higher RPM and WOT though? I, for some reason, think itll start slipping...... but idk for sure....

I think there is only one way to find out.

Is the clutch slipping now with the current setup?

With the whole financial thing rite now, I cant swing a clutch...... I cant have it blow on me either.......

hard to say, I know there is one in Scottsdale now.. Its really not the fact of getting E85 here. Its the money factor; alot of these gas station do not want to convert or can not convert a fuel pump due to the conversion cost.
