to the OP...What were your IDC on pump and meth? I also have a red on the way and have 780cc injectors. I am going to run on pump for a while with the occasional 100 octane. Eventually I plan to spray meth but want to know if my 780's will cut it for a while at 28psi.

I am using 780ccs, and they work fine at 36 psi with the Red.

I advise to run C16 on the Red with Hi Boost.
The Red makes lots of power, and low octane can cause problems or not make enough power.

What kind of problems? Never heard of this before. I plan on running E85 very soon anyway, but just wanted to hear the reasoning behind this since I've heard the opposite.

The reason that you have not heard of this before is because not too many people are using the Red as of yet.
And the ones running it, are using the correct fuel for it to get the most power out of it, safely.
100 octane is not going to cut it on Hi Boost. At the power levels the Red makes at over 30 psi, using low octane fuels is not going to be safe. Specially with 780 injectors.

If you have hear the opposite, that lower octane actually is better for the Red, then thats cool.

If you are going to run e85 with the red I would get atleast 1000cc injectors.

Lol, no but I've heard it's a great pump gas turbo (low boost obviously), but an even better one on race (high boost). I misunderstood what you were saying I guess. And thanks for the tip on the 1000's it's between those or the 1200's, but I'm concerned about drivability.

At 36 psi with only 780's? Wow I did not think they would supply enough fuel for that kind of boost. do you by chance know what idc the injectors were at?

I am trying to decide what type of fuel to run for high octane days at the track until I either upgrade to 1000cc and E85 or spray meth.

This is making me reconsider the green and spend the extra and go for red. Bump for awesome results. Hope to see this around being from CT as well.

Thanks for the valuable and detail info, this is exactly what I am looking for.

250rpm dealy in spool is not much at all right?

my tuner says the spool has a lot to do with the cams used. if one is using HKS 272 and another one is using fp5r, the one with HKS 272 will have better spool
