Built head...suggestions please

Gotta change the headgasket so I am gonna build the head while its off. Anyone know how well the Beehive valve springs are doing? I want to run FP5R cams and once the car is through, I will be running either the FP Red or the HTA 35r..any input on how I should approach this head are appreciated. I have a general direction but would like some input from people with experience. Thanks guys!

If you're planning to run the 5Rs, read FP's web page on required head preparation. It will give you the general outlines of what you need.

we have only used Ferrea's beehive..but it has worked out great! We actually have a set on a 4g63 dragster that makes in the neighborhood of 1300hp, 60psi with custom 280 crane cams in there and it lasted all season long! Same seat pressure as a dual, but has a tad more open pressure. I heard Brent Rau used them as well..and that is a 6 second 70psi, BIG cammed 1400hp beast!

I used to pop some rockers off with some dual valve springs, but after the switch to the kiggly beehive, haven't had any issues

What's up Dan?? Yeah I think I will be going with the Kiggly Beehive's. Jake Montgomrey will be building the head and a local guy who ported Jake's talon head will be doing that. If Jake's head was good enough for lots of 8 sec. passes, I have confidence in mine being adequate for what I am looking for.
