UICP - Help

Hey All.

Im currently looking for an UICP.

I want something that will give me a little more power and a little less lagg (if possible).

What about 'short' UICP that require a small battery kit? What does everyone think of them?

They are good; the less piping and the straighter it can be the better. Study up on aluminum vs. steel vs. stainless steel as all are available and each have their pros/cons.

The materials make a difference?

Hmmm.

I already have a LICP lined up, I just need a polished UICP.

Anyone know where I can find the information on the different materials used...

Aluminum: light weight, dissipates and absorbs heat quickly
Stainless: retains heat, but also shields airflow from heat
Steel: lower priced, will rust unless coated

I'll personally be going with aluminum to save as much weight as possible.

Check out Perrins UICP good price and great quality.
Or you can do what I did; just get the samco hoses. They replace the expanding old stock rubber hoses.
Honestly UICPs dont do much for gains uncless you plan on running over 400whp

I would stay away from the mini batteries. They are good for a while but then start crapping out pretty soon.

Nothing wrong with the mini-battery kits, if they can handle Minnesota winters they can handle anything!

How does the short ETS UICP go with a bigger radiator?

two of my buddies are running Fujita and the other is running Injen both seem to be holding and performing well for both of them. But in my opinion is ETS FTW.

UICP has nothing to do with the radiator.
