i dont know how much power the oem rods can handle.....

however, i wouldnt recomend spinning the motor with oem rods much past 8k @ high power.....this is only based off of people reportedly spinnig their motrs to ~8,500, then shortly after spinnig a rod bearing.....

yeah, there are lots of people out there who have taken their motors past 8,500without issue........how lucky do you feel?

Axles are pretty stout on the Evo realy don't think you'll need them unless you are pushing a crazy amount of power
This is the same setup I would recommend. We made 599 to the wheels on a stock block w/ rod bolts and S2's on a PT61 using a 2.75" intercooler (We left a ton of power on the table with this small intercooler) I would highly recommend going with a 3.5" or 4.0"

Thanks,

Michael

With my setup that ETS Michael quoted above, we also left some power on the table as well, we made that 500whp at only 28psi of boost usually we would be about to pull around 30 or 30+psi of boost but we wanted to keep the car safe because we felt that 500whp on a Mustang Dyno here that reads like Buschurs is pushing the stock internals.

Hey Michael your 4088r Turbo Kit has my eyes on it right now was thinking of trien to pull some single digit runs for the next season : )

Don't you need to run faster than 11.7 with your current setup first.

I want to see a 10!

Hehe of course we gotta run a 10 before the setup is to be changed I think we'll be trailoring the car up to Sac Raceway this Wenesday to hopfully pull it off, as long as I get a few runs in and the techs don't nag about anything I should be able to do it if I get 4 or 5 runs and don't break 10's i'ma just have to slap myself.
