I can verify that the Tomei unit is working, although the scrapers need to be manually bent such that they come within a few thousands of touching the crank counterweights. This is quick and easy to do with one's fingers once the baffle is installed. Otherwise, it is useless as it comes.

Porsche, Lamborghini, and the Z06 might disagree. We have installed the Tomei stuff but no real way to see what it does without a bunch of instrumentation and a dry track. When one is on a rally car and the others are street cars that dont see the track its difficult to quantify.

Based on experience it wont make a difference. The issue is not where it comes off the crank. The issue is the pan and high G right hand corners. Baffling like Buschur does or the AMS replacement Moroso pan is the first step. After that an Accusump will help (but not cure the issues) and then dry sump. Doesnt Norris still have a less expensive option than Magnus or AMS?

can someone quantify what kind of oil pressure drops they're seeing with an AMS pan and Kiggle HLA?

I typically plot oil pressure versus RPM and filter the data with accelerometer readings higher than .8g's.

I can tell you what we saw on a high G launch without that.

In the white car when it ran a 9.4@148 (924whp) with a 1.4 or so, the oil pressure would drop in 1st from 100psi to 30s, hold in second at 30, and then come back in 3rd. I will look and see if I can get the time slip so we can try to get an idea of what G that would be. Point is we fixed it with a modified sump and lengthened pickup tube. The oil moves that easy in the pan in a straightline, I have to believe it does in a corner as well.

Switching to the AMS (easier that what we had been doing) and running a 1/2 qt high had the equivalent cure rating.

I don't see an oil tank in that picture. It is a bit crowded under the hood of an Evo. Where does the oil tank go?

Trunk normally or cut the front end up a little and put it where the oil cooler is now.

Don't forget to resize the reservoir if you're putting it in the trunk... the huge lines increase the capacity quite a bit! Your oil will never get to temp!
