Hi everyone! I've searched in the forums and couldn't find what I was looking for so i'm sorry if this has been posted already. I have an EVO 8 with a 6 speed and having problems with my transmission synchros. Do i have to take off the tranny in order to replace the sychros or can this be done without having to take the tranny off? Thanks guys...

 

I think that you will have to take it off.

 

how the heck would you split a tranny when its on the car? Yes of course it needs to come off.

 

Coz i read on the net that on earlier evo's it's possible to change the 5th synchro without having to take down the tranny. That's why i was asking if it can be done with an evo8. Well, it looks like i got the answer that i didn't want!
