buschur race or perrin?
1 gear Dyno pulls IMO are meaningless measures of how an Intercooler is really working.. Well i shouldnt say meaningless because it might show HP gains or temps differences..
However the real test is when you go from 1st gear to top of 4th gear.. In high gear if you evaluate the AIT's i can Guarantee you the Buschur 4" is probably the best unit out for the Evo.. I personally went from a Competitors 4" Race Core to Buschur 4" race core and my AIt's went from 150's in high gear to ~110's.. I was sold after seeing the hard data at the track.. This is on a car that runs 45-50psi so i could really see a noticeable difference..

Do you have pics or advice on how to fit the buschur race core with the stock beam? All I've *ever* heard is "you can make it work" or "people have done it" but not "you put 3 washers between the crash beam and the frame" or "you notch out two spots on the beam" etc. If this info was public and widely known, I would be willing to bet more people would buy the buschur race over others out there....
In/outlet inner diameter: 2 1/8"
Weight: ~22lbs.
I am tempted to try porting the in/outlets a bit; I feel they are on the smaller side due to the casting thickness. I do not want to weaken them though and risk crushing/cracking them with a t-bolt clamp. Overall though, I'm very impressed with the Perrin and am happy with my purchase; especially considering the price.
Buschur dudes, anyone care to chime in with the weight of the BR Race? Weight hanging over the front wheels is a big deal to those of us who autocross. The weight of the Perrin is part of the reason why I chose it since the ETS came in at 24 lbs. and Nisei at 26 lbs.

Mike from AWD Motorsports can chime in as well. We did 39 pulls on his dyno and the intercool pipe stayed cold the whole time. Enough said, Buschur Race all the way

Our Race FMIC has been proven time and time again to stand up to anything thrown at it. The race FMIC that we sell is the SAME exact unit used on our 8 sec drag car as well as David's RS which is a street car running 9.0. This same FMIC is also on all cars that range from mild to wild. Whether you want to just drive to work, auto cross, road race or drag race this FMIC will handle anything thats thrown at it. At one time years ago there were 5 of us here running the Race with the stock turbo's and it still showed a great gain over stock.
Here is the Race on my old car just to reference for size:

The BR race core measures in at 24" x 13" x 4". It is also currently on sale right now for $779 shipped in the continental US. The lower IC pipe is sold seperate for an additional $280 but I can offer a package deal of $1045 SHIPPED in the continental US. The Race core is rated at 1100hp.
For reference between the 2 here is a review Mellon did of the BR race Vs. The smaller BR deluxe: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=328567
Here is also a review from CBRD on our Race FMIC: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=362110
Here is another thread you may find informative as its not an Evo 8/9 there is still plenty of info in there as well as other links posted with information to consider before making your choice. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=364916

Its the core thats been proven time and time again to work the way as advertised while actually being dyno TESTED & PROVEN and is also the same EXACT core being ran on our 8sec drag Evo which was worlds first Evo 8 in the 8's and is also the fastest Evo in the world.
Just to throw in David's street car that went 9.0 and all of the other High HP & 9sec cars we put out.
We sell to the public the same exact stuff we run.

I can say that I ran this core on my Fastest ever Stock block evo and it performed flawlessly! We went 10.0 @ 142 with this thing on a stock motor! I cant complain one bit.

I can undelete it and give you an infraction for the flaming comments that were in it. It is up to you. Let me put it to you this way, half of what you posted was uncalled for.
