hmm id have to bet on one of your diffs, either the front one in the trans, or the TC. If you have access to a lift, lift it up and look around and see where the noise may be from! Good luck with everything! oh somtimes clutches make these noises as well, but only from twin discs from my experience!

It's gotta be the front one since I just did the rear one. I knew this day would come some time, I just wish it wasn't so close to the day I changed my diff. And I wonder why my wife hates my cars.

Oh yeah I forgot to add, you should stop driving your car until you get it sorted out. You could be marring/warping your crankshaft.

Gotta be the diff. This is probably way off, but a cheap thing to check out. But try bleeding your ACD lines.

I had a similar noise and I could feel the vibrations. check the drive shaft again buy look at that large damper with all the bolts in it...check the seal and make sure that it has not given out. look where the drive shaft goes into it.

I had this noise w/ the Exedy Single, and after with the Exedy organic install. I do not think it is clutch/flywheel related.

Normal Man. My evo and every other EVO I have ever been in has made hellish decel noises. Mine for all of its life. 107k on her now

With a clutch and Flywheel combo the noise and vibration will increase greatly. I thought every evo owner knew this as normal.

Mitsu even has a Tech Bullten about it

No worries boss drive it like you stole it. Call Shep and/or TRE they'll confirm the decel noise

All I have is a AMS front motor mount and the Whiteline diff carrier bushings, nothing to casue all the ruckus. The noises were there and I had made a post a long time ago about this.

Several said it was harmonics from my exhaust etc. There is some sort of problem some where. I have been talking back and forth with Jon at TRE, ( I have his Maxx Lock diff on now) and he is also perplexed.

I'll take the suggestion as they come. Thanks.

I just replaced my clutch with a Fidanza 3.2 and started getting these noises. (quieter and without vibration) Checked most the stuff listed above and figured that it was just noise associated with the new clutch. I'm glad to hear that other ppl have run into this. I figured it was normal, but the confirmation really helps
