Does your car smoke?
I dont see that big of a margin when checking your oil level cold or warm. As long as youre between the min-max dots on the dipstick is where you need to be.
What is the compression ratio of your pistons? 140 seems a little on the low side, especially for 1 year of usage.

Can you put your car on a lift? You might find that oil is on your under body.

compression on the oem motor should be around 170. i dont know what compression pistons you have but having even compression is a good thing. if your driving the car hard it will lose oil due to the crank pressure. i would check more into that leak under your car first.

believe it or not some manufactures have oil comsumption specs and i saw that one of them was 1qt. every 1000 miles. i dont really know how that is good sence oil changes are rec. at 5k and some cars only have 4 qts.

im getting no smoke at all. i have been told that compression is and will be less at my elevation and have been told it can be up to 30 less.... not sure how true that is etc.

i guess if the compression worked well it kinda eliminates a problem in the combustion chamber??? maybe time to tear apart the bottom haha. If the compression was considerded low what would cause it bad ring seat?

i honestly cant remember what the piston compression was i got the Ross pistons from Slow boy ill have to look into it i have learned a lot more since then. Also at the time i had no money and just needed it to run for work ha.

this is the setup i got when i built the motor. http://www.slowboyracing.com/sbs/sbr...at=4129&page=1
