Also, read the post because I clearly mentioned the fuel cut defender.

The car is incredible and has years of performance upgrades and sound engineering behind it. Evo's are seriously overengineered in many areas(except the clutch)

This car is not a suburu!

My car ran what it ran and you are obviously not an automotive design engineer or actually spoken to one about your numbers... otherwise you wouldn't pass off garbage for info.

Yes, Bigger injectors may help at higher levels but I only pulled 383.2 WHP. It did that before my own two eyes.

The shop's silver evo pulled 407 at the wheels with the GT40, exhaust, avo intercooler blitz intake and the STOCK INJECTORS AND FUEL PUMP!

That is what inpired me to do the gt40 in the first place. I am planning to go to 700cc size and a bosch pump for long term reliability. Look at the chart- it pulls linear right to 6700 at 1.6 bar with no signs yet of choking from a lack of fuel.

Lots of stuff is pushed in the name of performance on ignorant types... kind of like unneccesary car repairs or surgury.

That's why you need a reputable shop with a dyno to sort the cherrys from the pits and stay away from bs like you are spouting out

My info was determined after extensive dyno work

no one has a monopoly on good ideas...

Al,

That fine if you have some rationale for your mods, your car is putting out some real power right!

I am just saying the reality of the situation is different than your assumptions... My car is doing what is it is doing on the dyno- why rag in the first place? It is silly to dispute a straight forward result just because it is different than your flawed assumption.

I am done with this- good luck on your car and I hope you are willing to learn that no one has a monopoly on good ideas...

What determination made you change the injectors and fuel pump?

Mark,

What was the duty cycle of your injectors when you made that power?

I am not ragging - I was warning you based upon what I learned with my car - if you choose to take my advicxe with a grain of salt about injector duty cycles and the fuel pump limits - great - if you dont want to listen to what I am saying that is great also - its up to you

I don't understand why you are taking offense - obviously you are defensive - - if you don't think I am giving good advice then dont listen

You can't SAFELY mnake that mind of power on the stock fuel system and your comments about the evo design are not accurate - I disagree

Best of luck

I saw this car personally at our last SoCalEvo.net meet and it was incredible. I also wondered why there were no fuel or timing mods done. All he has in a Hallman MBC to control it. 400 WHP is pretty amazing I think for having everything bolted on and an MBC as your only controller. Once he gets it tuned it should be really nice. The car sounded really mean and agressive.

Here's a pic of the intercooler:

The red evo on the left:

Great job mark! Really looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Where did you get the Borla exhaust? Can you post some pictures and sound clips of it?

I am realy sorry guys, but I think your figures have been corrected to flywheel HP. I have been tuning Evo's since E2's. The injectors and fuel pump will not deliver enough fuel for the figures that you believe that you have. They will just make approx 380hp flywheel (depending on dyno, correction factor etc). If you look at the raw data in red, the correction is too much for just baro and air temp correction.

What does a stock EVO make on the Brainstorm Dyno? I think the answer would help settle this...

Edit: I see the stock #'s 236hp/239lbft, that's higher than most. So could that explain the 20-30hp extra that is in question?

Its possible he could have been making that power on 100% duty cycle overworked injectors and falling fuel pressure on a very short pass - - - A long 0 - 100 run would run out of all fuel in the lines with the stock pump

There are lots of things you can do - but doing it over the long term is not adviseable
