Battery that Fits AMS Intercooler piping set up...problems...
Hey guys,
Just this past night when the temperature dipped below 30 degrees my car barely turned over. After driving it for a little bit I parked it for approx. 10 min and then it didn't start back up. Checked the battery, apparently the battery is dead. I don't really wanna put another light weight odessey battery back in it considering the fact that this one won't hold a charge now and starting the car requires jumping it. Is there any other battery that is more powerful and will last that is not ridiculously expensive such as the AMS battery that can fit that spot inbetween the AMS intercooler piping and such. I have heard that people have dropped a duralast small battery in and made it custom fit, is this possible??? Anybody have insight? I just don't want to keep having to jump the damn thing, and I want a battery that can handle the winter.
Thanks
P.S. - keep in mind I still have the stock intake box

Nvm, I ordered the AMS battery w/ intake for the car. Might as well do it now...
Off this subject, are there typical issues with the alternator on these cars or do they tend to hold?

I have had mine for 3 winters and no problem. You might have just got a very poor battery. Ams just puts their sticker on the ones they get. Its a pc680 battery if you want to just go somewhere else and get one. Ebay had them for 75 dollars at one time
well I already got the battery ordered as well as a new intake. I figured I might as well start with that for now, god knows my spending is going to take off on it sooner or later. I know I had a **** oddessey, I think its a 260 or 280, but yeah, pretty much just doesn't crank enough to work well, and it could've been on this car for two years, I don't really know. I only got the thing a month ago.
But the question I had was do the alternators on these cars have a tendency to go? It just seemed like when the car was idling with the dead battery that if you hit the lights, stereo, and ac on the lights in the car would kinda flicker a bit. Nothing too noticable but I was trying to just test the strength of the alternator
