ENGINE VIBRATES when clutch engages???

I have noticed several times if I do not slip the clutch enough when engaging the entire engine shakes and vibrates slightly. I have the stock clutch on the car, does anybody have any input?

your flywheel is probably warped or has hot spots from slipping the clutch. it's annoying but i would just wait until the clutch needs replacing to resurface the flywheel or upgrade.

What giving me hot spots? Is it similiar like when you have brake pad sediment built up on your rotors whch causes vibration?

Ya know my engine mount could def be it. My car seem very jerky sometimes, don't know if that common among awd cars or evo's. The only thing is the car has only 15k miles on it...

i don't know about newer evo's, but mine is not jerky at all.

Compared to my old 180 SX or other turbocharged cars i've driven the Evo is by far the smoothest and easiest to drive.

Its only jerky obviously in 1st gear... I guess I will just coninue to drive it and maybe just get a motor mount to eliminate that possibility.

Sounds like crankwalk! lol

I don't mean to be an ******* but are you applying the throttle while "not slipping the clutch" because from your description it sounds like you're just letting off the clutch too quickly without applying enough gas.

That'll cause any 4 cyl engine to vibrate/stutter.

I had this problem. I replaced and upgraded my rear transmission mount. It doesn't do it as much anymore. It was a huge improvement, but I do agree the flywheel might be the problem still.

If I don't give it enough gas it will cause the vibration hence not slipping it enough and coming off the clutch too fast. I am not bogging the gear or anything just never felt this before on any of my other manual cars. If I bring my rpms to about 1100-1400 it occurs but if I bring them to 2000 and slip it a bit more it seems to be fine. The vibration is def caused by the clutch started to grab its pretty obvious when it occurs.
