The Buschur TBE isn't all that bad in the car. Windows up, WOT, it's still not bad. Windows down, WOT, it's loud, espically in a wooded area, in the mountians, etc. But just crusing windows up or down, it's tolerable. To me anyway. The COBB is clearly the quieter of the two.

Well I never heard the Buschur inside cabin.

My previous test pipe always leaked. I kept replacing the gasket but after some time it leaked again. I think the flange was messed up and didnt seal properly. And an exhaust leak right at the area of the catalytic converter is very annoying inside the cabin. Maybe thats why I developed such hate torwards exhausts sounds.

Well, I never ran the "louder exhausts" on my car. I just finished swapping out the stock catback with the Jun BL exhaust. I'm going to drive to work in the morning and I'll see first hand how they ("louder exhausts") sound inside the cabin. But even if its tollerable, I just dont like attention that it will give. Sometimes I give a little gas just to make sure its running good, and those short acceleration bursts will usually bring unwanted attention.

I understand your position, as I run a relatively quiet (Works) exhaust for the same reason. I rev high, boost as often as possible, and run WOT as much as traffic conditions allow. I firmly believe that having a quiet exhaust keeps me in the fun zone while staying out of sight with the local gendarmes.

Well I drove the car with Cobb downpipe + TTP resonated testpipe and Jun BL catback. Wooooooooooooooooow, sorry but this (Jun BL) exhaust is loud with no leaks. You can still talk inside the car and hear eachother, but the constant exhaust sound is annoying and a little embarrassing.

Soon I'll be cutting out the muffler and making my own quiet setup with the rest of the piping.

I hardly ever boost or drive WOT. Any where from 0-3 times per each or every other gas fill up.

But I cant agree with you more, that the fun zone is a lot better knowing you can accelerate as you please with out worrying about being heard.

I have the Buschur TBE w/ Magnaflow muffler & test pipe.

It has been on the car for years. There is no rust to be found (car was in Cincinnati, OH for years).

The sound is really quite under normal driving. Under WOT it sounds nice - not too loud or over the top.

Just right, IMO.

blueevoix, I am not being a dick or rude but I am asking a serious question. From reading your posts it just seems odd to me that you are an EVO owner. Please do not take offense but why don't you get a BMW M3 or the new turbo 135? They are nice cars, quiet, do not draw any attention. I mean you are very worried about attention, don't ever go to WOT, yet you drive an EVO that screams "LOOK AT ME!" and you are modifying the exhaust. It is just odd, I am not being rude, I just think there are probably better options in the car market for someone such as yourself.

Thanks for the picture slorice. I can't quiet figure out why I like how you car looks

consider the WORKS stealth system, quiet as stock, no drone, and the muffler is a gutted-stock, so no issues with cops (that I have had in the past in MA); quality control is #1, and if any issues develop, WORKS usually always will ship you the product to be replaced immediately.

I have the WORKS 3" DP fed into the HFC straight into the Stealth Cat-back.
