Cam choices for track car and 2.3 stroker?

I am looking for a little 1st hand experience from people running 2.3's and what cams they are running ? I found plenty of info on what peoples thoughts were on a 2.0... i am looking for 2.3 specific feedback

The car is run with Nasa and redline. I am limited to around 430-450whp (mustang dyno) with nasa in TTU... .and we run street class for redline.. peak power really isnt a concern. I am not trying to make a million hp just the best powerband we can.. we were overpowering our 255 street tires with much less power.

Here are a few cams i ve been looking at... any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated

Br272
Cosi m2
kelford 272
GSC s2

Heres our set up as of now:

E85
GST tuned oem ecu
Br 2.3
ported head w/ supertech vs/r
Stevo8 spec FP red
Forge wg
Mil.Spec 100cell and 65mm Tb
Wilson V2 intake mani
EPM dump from AWDmotorsports
GST fabbed intercooler piping and intake
perrin fmic
Rc1200 cc
Br double pumper

and all the other basic bolt-ons

Thank you
Josh

Because of your limitations, you want a cam set that will give you the best spool characteristics and most usable rpm range. That precludes long duration cams that favor high rpm power at the expense of low speed characteristics.

Of the sets you listed, I'd recommend the GSC S2 or Kelford 272 given your requirements. Both compromise little in the way of spool characteristics while delivering excellent power.

This may help you as far as power bands go.

kelford 272's

i have them and i love them, they spool great (26 psi by 3500-3700 depending on what gear) and make great power.

Can you say what you felt the positives and negatives of the above cams were so we know what you like?

For reference I put Kelford 272's in my 2.3L but the car is still being broken in and I won't be able to compare the changes attributed to the cams as everything changed.

wow 32psi taper down to 30pwi on e85 ? i wouldn't do that if i were you. I'm only telling you this cause we both race from time to time in the same event.
