Ted how do you like the synapse bov ? I have one myself and I like it very much. I was wondering how your experiences have been with it.

^^^ Same here Ted. I'm running a synapse bov on a TS3076 setup and it has cured my leaking and flutter issue, but i still get some part throttle bucking when building boost. It looks likes you're only running a boost line to 1 of the top ports, did that work out better than using both ports? Any setup tips for this sort of setup is most appreciated!

And again Amazing setup, thanks for keeping everyone in the loop on your progress!

^Ted is infact running both signal ports on the top of the Synapse combined with the single bottom port. I'm also running this config on my TS3076 set up with no issues. Make sure the barbed fittings are tight on the BOV. Initially, Ted's valve acted like it didn't even work. We checked the fittings on the unit and discovered they were very loose. After tightening them up the valve became silent

Eww. That is a pre-production piece. Never meant to have that photo'd. He will have a much nicer looking unit in a week.

Enough to run out of fuel, so there is no use to send it to the dyno until we get that fixed.

Awesome project Ted. Looks like you had some fun putting it together.

Looking forward to seeing some vids of the car in action.

I'm gonna have to consider the Synapse as a Xmas present as the HKS is annoying. When I was looking at your pics I was like woah recirculating! Then I saw the MAF and I was like wow cool. Any issues with false knock so far?

nice work. do you have a boost vs. RPM plot? I'm curious to see what the boost curve looks like.

ted,

you know what I dont like about you... you arent a local client... and I can't pick ur brain to come up with more ideas

our car uses a smaller than 40R turbo, actually smaller than 35R... but we had turbine castings from garrett that most people dont know exist

ill send you specs sometime.

Get the Synapse and you'll throw rocks at that HKS trinket.

Instances of false knock that were apparent on account of my built motor were quickly rectified thanks to the new tables discovered by the rocket scientists in the ECUFlash forum. No more false knock. Just quick TS response from idle to the roof.

You will see that after we upgrade the fuel system (again) and dyno the car.

Sounds freaky. Good luck!

I tried to eek the base FP up a little to squeeze a bit more headroom out of it, but that does not change the fact that I need larger injectors. 1450cc should get me close to 700whp if I so choose, and that is more than what I really need.
Ted,

First off, build looks awesome, can't wait to see what she does!

Here is some FIC 1450cc injector data for you...

Recently had a Evo 8 with a HTA35R, 2.3L block, Cosworth head in on E85 with the FIC "BlueMax" injectors. Also had BR double pumper. Base fuel pressure (no AFPR).

At 7906rpm, 32.2psi and 11.84 AFR, IDC was 85.3% logged in Evoscan. Car made 558whp on our Mustang dyno.

Bryan, thank you for that potentially valuable info.

If you tell me that dyno's correction factor is set at 1.00, that tells me the calculated estimate I posted in #32 should be correct, and my issue is likely compounded by the increased FP (which sets off the pressure relief valve prematurely), and resetting that along with a set of 1450s should alleviate the situation (barring an FPR issue as Mark proposed).

If you tell me that dyno is set to read more like a Dynojet, that tells me I have to seriously consider the Bosch plan first.
