thats really great to hear your positive results. peter medina is a real nice guy, im stoked your turbokit is working so well for you.

what BMW are you building? that is exciting i want to see pics i have a soft spot for M52 engines...

hi mark -- ive got 3 fuel system questions for you

1) have you tried the bosch 040 intank pump? its a 300lph unit

2) have you tried running a bosch 044 inline, but installing it intank? Basically putting it on the pump hangar, and routing the walbro through it, but keeping in the tank. ive never seen this, just curious

3) have you tried the bosch 1000cc injectors? ive heard fantastic things about their spray pattern at high rail pressure.

thats interesting, i run the eliminator on a cpl cars but its just so absurdly loud i really prefer to use dual bosch's anymore. Their A1000 is a total POS fuel pump, hated it and went thru 3 of them at great expense to me.

what problems did you have with their regs? ive had good results.

i believe in coatings + wrappings. less heat out is better. Did swaintech warranty the coating??

like scorke said some of the gains are likely due to the cooler water temps and IATs.

The E30 M3 uses the S14 engine, which powered the car to more rally championships than any other sedan. Mine is 2.5L, and fully built (beginning work on the shortblock now). I'll post pics when the car is complete.

As for an update on my EVO, we've found the cam gear teeth to be excessively worn, so those are being changed along with the idler assembly, etc. I should be able to conclude my tuning following that.

looks amazing! is the motor really that solidly in place that it can have a hard pipe for a radiator hose? or does the fitting flex enough.

Geoff

I have not seen or heard of a 040 only a 044, I will look in to a 040 as that looks like a good flowing pump,
The way I do my fuel systems is a wablro in tank running staight in to a 044 external, The walbro runs 1 bar of back pressure in to the 044 which increases the 044 output, At 4bar base fuel pressure it will supply enough fuel for a GT4088 running 2.5bar boost with a small amount of head room,
Do you have the full part number of the bosch injectors as I have not seen them,
I also tried a sard 280lt fuel pump this did not supply any more fuel than a walbro unless it was run at low fuel pressure i.e under 3bar base,
The Evo 8 onwards has a problem fitting a bigger size than stock fuel pump unless you cut the housing so I have not tried anything other than a twin wabro in tank and in my testing that only flowed 15% more than a single walbro,
Every car I have had in with a Aeromotive feul reg have had problems holding fuel pressure on boost and a quick change to a sard or a Kinsler reg fixed the problem.

The motor has a delrin front mount, and cannot present enough movement to stress the couplers.

Wasn't the HTA wheel and TS supposed to be a mismatch?

I am looking for TS turbo T4 with vband for my Suby any suggestion? I am looking for fast spool

The advantages of TS are apparently dependent upon turbine efficiency, and I believe his concern was that increasing compressor efficiency alone may create an imbalance in favor of the compressor. In actuality, the HTA + TS seems to really (and I mean really) work well.

I don't know what you define 'fast spool', but if you have the means to support the power potential of an HTA3582R, the TS T4 setup seems to work exceptionally well.

Hey Ted B who supply you with TS HTA 3582R? How about 3586R?

Thanks

You can get them from Forced Performance, AWDMotorsports, or Buschur racing. I wanted the 3582R because I don't need >700whp, and I want the quickest possible spool.

A note on my progress:

I am out of fuel with E85, 12:1 AFR, at 30psi and an indicated 3200+ Hz airflow with the FIC 1250s. Time for FIC 1450s . . .

Ted how would this HTA82 compare with:

GT35R with a T3 1.06 Twinscroll hotside

vs

T04Z with a twinscroll T4 .84 hotside

vs

GT4088R with a .95 Twinscroll hotside

I am considering one of these plus a Autronic + 1000cc Injectors as my next upgrade...

I want max power with min lag yet torquey and drivable streetcar.

Thanks
Sal
