I've learned a whole new level of patience with this. It's either learn to be patient or face insanity. If only I knew then what I know now ...

Yes, the switch to big maps is next. I deliberately waited to let some of the bugs be worked out. I don't know the status of that. I get a headache just thinking about what's involved to switch everything over.

Ouch, my brain hurts. No changes in factors that affect dynamic compression while increasing static compression does what it always does, increase thermal efficiency and torque output, but encroaching upon the limits of fuel octane as a result.

I'm still tuning mechanically and electronically, but it's making very good power.

Ted, you need to make the switch to Big Maps and e85. I just need to get the maptracer excel sheet to work with bigmaps and older versions of MS office.
Oh I have no doubt he has E85 in the area or that he will make quite a bit more power on it, I was just saying I would be screwed if I didn't have it. Will be interesting to see what kind of power I can get on 93 once I build my engine. Unless I change some other parts out, I don't think it will be much different though.

Two questions for you, Ted.
1. Did you customize the Tial WG to match it up to the divided wastegate flange coming off the exhaust manifold?
2. Do you run an open dump tube, or did you recycle it into the exhaust?

Also, any pics of the downpipe?

After much searching and researching and staring at my car (I'm sure my wife thinks I'm going senile every time I space out in front of or under my car) ... your setup looks to pretty much address all of the requirements I have for my next upgrade. Thanks for posting all of your info. It is invaluable.

The WG requires no modification. Drifto does a good job of engineering the divider such that it does not expand due to heat and inadvertently open the WG. That is key to keeping the pulses from each side effectively divided while keeping to a single WG.

The WG dump is open.

I don't have an individual shot of the downpipe, but the exhaust looks like this (the dump valve is unused):

But I sure wish I had a SHO engine with an HTA3586 attached to it. I could make that lethal. That engine was just 20 years too early, and not enough produced.

I teased it up to 595whp with 93 octane and 35+psi before I finally saw 1 knock count. I've since converted to Tephra V7 and am currently retuning. Looks like I can do 40psi with 93 octane and still have 20 or so degrees in it up top without angering the knock gods. Of course, the water injection system is doing its job. I don't know if I can get more power out of it on 93, but I'd like to crack 600whp with this HTA3582. I may remove a tick of overlap from the exhaust side and see if that makes a difference.

I should note that with V7's ability to set WGDC in each gear, I'm now seeing 35-37 psi in 1st and 2nd, which is entertaining.

Where did you order this?!?! I've been looking for something that is HTA3582 and has a twin-scroll exhaust housing. Is this a custom turbo or what?

The turbo is a standard HTA3582. The turbine housing is an ATP 1.06 TS T4 for GT35R. The turbo setup is a custom fabrication from mpfab.com.
