Ted B.'s HTA3582 Twinscroll Project
I was prepared to switch to the Boomba' but that involves removing the manifold and sending it off to be reflanged. I did my best to avoid that. I've been through enough already.
All Hypertune had to do was send me a working part. They chose to abandon me, but fortunately, it looks like I was able to cobble one good TB from two unusable ones. This situation speaks for itself. I need not add anything further to it.
Caveat emptor!

yeah my experiences with them were pretty bad as well, i waited 4 weeks for my intake manifold that was suposed to be on the shelf. They make some pretty good products but there service lets them down big time. Anyway glad you've finally got it sorted Ted.
I'm working on it. Everything's ok save for two issues:
(1) A missfire issue that suddenly arose - actually, it feels more like boost cut, and I'm trying to find the cause.
(2) A starting issue that so far, isn't the starter, solenoid, starter relay, or clutch switch. We think it may be the switch in the steering column. Go figure.
When I can finally get everything working at the same time, I'll provide an update. The stupid issues I've endured with this car seem to never end.

I had a similar problem, tracked it down to the (new) set of custom leads, sent them back and got some apparently even better ones made up and they did the exact same thing, put my ****ty old high resistance magnecores on and it ran perfectly. No idea what the issue was but the MSD cdi did not like the low resistance leads one bit. Anyway my point is sometimes the part you least expect to cause problems does **** up.
The ignition worked fine before this last go-round. I can't see the fault, but Craig of Sparktech is on top of it.
Anyway, while we're getting that sorted, I am installing the Omni 4-bar MAP sensor, so I'll be able to provide boost logs with the power graphs.

If you're awaitng results from my car, you could be waiting awhile. All aggravations are fixed now, but I am still tuning the 93 octane base map in between business trips. It's already well over 500whp though (according to VDR anyway), and I haven't yet tuned the ignition map.

Ted,
check your plugs and your gap. I had a misfire (felt like the car farted fuel) turned out my spark plug gap had opened up. I put in some new Denso plugs gapped at .018" and I was good to 40psi on the Red
check the coil dwell thread on ecuflash (if that's relevant) it may also help.

I've resolved the misfire and all other issues as far as I can tell. No more misfire, leaky compressor covers, leaky TBs with the incorrect springs, leaky ICs, and other bizarre aggravations. The engine runs cleanly. On my base 93 octane tune, it's already showing around 430 load and 3100+Hz with knock count at virtually zero. The TS HTA3582R is amazing to drive, and never feels dead.
