Afc settings

I have an intake, ground wires, boost contoller setting boost at 20 psi, I have the axel-back exhaust portion off of the car. What settings should i set my safc's fuel at? I want to lean it out as much as possible without hurting anything. Can anyone give me a tested set of numbers to set the SAFC at?

Thanks, Marcus

Set your car on the dyno, hook up with wideband and do couple run. You will get the best settings.

There isn't any AWD dyno's near here, and i really cant go to get it dynoed for a couple weeks... I just wanted a tried and tested, lean setup that wasn't too conservative. but yet, wasn't going to damage my engine.

Thanks

Mark, wait for me to get my evo back then we can install our afc's. I have a bunch of safe settings we can play with until the new dyno opens next week.
p.s. heard you hit 13.6@100 last night.

LOL! I got a forge recirculating blowoff valve about 3 weeks ago and really wanted to hear that BOV sound. So i took my cover off the same day i installed it "3 weeks ago" and wow it sounded AWSOME! You can hear the intake sound like a jet and the blowoff sound is pimpness. But i felt like the car was SLOWER, yes slower than stock. And im sure it was. It seems any intake for this car that isnt the stock box "the the exception of a replacement drop in filter" slows it down. i raced a evo with a jic exhaust and a aftermarket intake system, i think aem, and all i had was a rmr exhaust and i REALLY pulled on him hard, and this was durring mid rpms so it was the shifting skills. So im pretty sure anythign but a drop in filter will slow u down. Oh also my friends SRT-4 was a lot closer than when raced than when i had the stock box on. Just some info for u guys.

I already have the SAFC installed but don't know what settings to use. although i would like to go to the dyno when it opens.
I'm just anxious to use the SAFC as it is already on my car and i can do it right now.

also, I heard that the filter somehow makes the car run more rich, and i would like to eliminate this problem since i have a aftermarket filter on, and i can use this SAFC to do that if that is the case.

well thanks guys.

I have some safe settings for you, I run them on my car. +1 at 4600 , +2 at 5200, - 4 at 5800, - 8 at 6000, -10 at 7000. I have a k& n conical on the car and thats it

i thought i should lean it on all the power band?

Well, i'll try this, but if anyone has more of a lean and power adding SAFC setting, please let me know.
I'd like to be as lean as it requires to make the best power while still retaining safety for the engine. If the above numbers are recommended let me know. BTW thanks for all replies.

you can get away with a lot more aggresive numbers than that. consult the following thread for more info.
