Ever have the (D) stub shaft stick to the axle?

Pulled the TC out to send to Shep to give it a once over and when i got to pulling the driver's side stub shaft out it was stuck to the axle.

Haven't had that happen to any of the cars that come through the shop has anyone else had this happen?

Spoke to John about it and he said he never had this happen either and both he and i are skeptical that the splines could have twisted.

he did mention the clip on the end of the shaft but not sure how to get it off.....

never had that happen, but you shouldnt have to take the clip off to get the shaft off the axle

I just had it happen to me also , I have not really played with the shaft to get it out of the axle but we shall see when it all goes back together again.

Slide the axle out a little and hold the stub on the unsplined area with vice grips. Tap the axle and it should release. You should throughly inspect the clip and groove an the axle and stub shaft.
