Fic injectors?

Hey guys, i'm about to order 850cc FIC injectors with an AMS fuel rail. Now just a few questions... are these injectors any good? Will they match up fine with the AMS fuel rail? And finally, is 850cc big enough for my current setup? (mods in sig and I will be getting meth) Thanks

There is a ton of information on the FIC injectors, search and you will find out that there is a lot of people that like them.

And as far as the 850's, why order something that might get you by only until your next mod? I run FIC 1050's on my Evo IX turbo. Order BIG injectors, I would say Min 1050's because then you have a lot more headroom for future modifications. The stock ECU is fully capable of running my 1050's really well, and with the new FIC Blue Max injectors, you can get away with even larger injectors.

Right now, even with my IX turbo, if I did it again I would pick up a set in the 1200-1400 range.

FWIW, I am on E85, my IX turbo on a very high strung car pushing 30+ psi and I am seeing ~85% duty cycles, all being pushed by a single Walbro.

Cliff Notes: There is no reason for you to go any less than 1050's.

Exactly right....go bigger.

At least 1000's, do it once, do it right. If you get 1200's or more, you probably won't ever need to upgrade again. 850's or 880's may cut it right now, but what about later?

I'm running the FIC 850's and they're fine. My opinion is why go bigger than what you truly need? I'm just about at the max limits of the stock IX turbo on pump gas and still have plenty of headroom with these injectors. If you plan to stay with pump gas you'll be fine with the 850's; if you want to give E85 a try then the 1050's would probably be a better choice.

I'm with you on that one.. I just read some threads about people with 35r's running 850's with room left over... So just a few minutes ago I ordered my AMS fuel rail and my Fic 850cc injectors from maperformance

Nice! Thats who I got my injectors from too.

FYI: MAP is also a Buschur, ETS, and AMS distributor so they can get their full-line of parts too.

I have FIC 850cc injectors on my dsm, LOVE them. No problems at all. I will only use FIC injectors and nothing else.

If that's the case, why did you modify your car from stock? It was as fast as you needed it to be from the factory...

There is no logical reason to get "Only what you need now" when there is no "substantial" price difference between what you are looking for, versus what a few of us are telling you what you should get first off.

What happens when you jump on the E85 craze? New Injectors.
What happens when you decide to updrage your 50 trim? New Injectors

See the trend? I understand that 850's will probably be enough for what you want now, but what about for later?

If you buy big now, you never have to pull the old ones, sell them, get your new ones, install a second set of injectors, tune for them, etc... Rinse, Repeat.

Do it once now, then never again. (Most Likley )

Put in Big, tune for them once, and you are done for a long time.

Put in small, and

Go for 1050's. I had 880's and used them up when I changed my turbo.

Go bigger than 850's, why buy injectors twice. I'm running the FIC 1150's and they run great on pump 93 and E85.

Isn't getting them dialed in, idle and cruise going to be more stable with the 850cc?

BTW I just oredered FIC 850cc, but my setup is kinda different and I'm going to be using meth which helps. I don't think I'll overrun the 850's anytime soon.

Ive got 950cc FIC with an FP Red and they arent using much duty cycle at all. I thinking about trying out e-85 with them since they are hardly working with pump gas.
