Is the TOMEI install kit necessary? I realize that the kit accompanies the turbo when you purchase. But, I guess that the factory hard lines don't fit with the larger TOMEI comprssor housing. Or, will the stock IX lines work?

Good choice. I think they favor EBC over MBC, right?

from what i have read about Naji and Looney Tunes is that he uses boost pills and the ecu to tune the car, with great results to. For my car we are using the HKS EVC 6 with the tuning software I had great results on the Evo9 turbo where i remove boost taper completely

Thanks for answering the question! Looking towards your finished project. I wanna do something similar when i get my Evo, turbo upgrade, but need to know what i should upgrade before purchasing a turbo kit...

ok here the update guys Naji and I ran into a problem first it was car lighther it wasn't getting any power , I don't smoke so never used it after pulling the center consol the culprit was a a burnt fuse. Next we tried reading the ecu it kept shooting back with no response , thought it was the battery because it has happen to me before when the battery was weak it would not let me read the ecu so we tried to charge it then drive it around to see if the alternator can charge it that didn't work so after an hour of trying we conluded that it might be the battery being one of the slim ones might be weak we decided to reschedual so I can put in a big battery and recurc the bov. Ok here comes the stupid stuff more on my behalf yesterday after fic sent over the latency numbers to the 750cc injectors I went to go compared it with my current map and my previous map tuned by shiv after I was done I decided to flash in the map tuned by shiv but what I didn't remember was that shiv map had the ecu lock code. That why it kept kicking back an error message and the thought of running the ecu unlocked never cross my mind. So an hour I tried then like always I downloaded the map that sorry guys so results will come in 2 weeks Naji got a track event next week so stay tuned
