So my evo 8 threw the PO830 code when the check engine light came on. My tech at mitsu dealer never saw this code before. He said it was the clutch pedal something... What exactly is this code for and is it anything serious? My car feels and runs strong.

 

its most likely a bad clutch pedal switch.

 

How was a mitsu tech not able to tell you the exact reason for the code coming up? I'd say find yourself a new tech. Sorry the post was no help!
