doing a 2.0 build

So far i have a parts list of supertech valves and dual springs for the head maybe even some exhaust and intake liners and kelford 272 cams. For the engine looking at doing wiesco hd pistons and either eagle or manley rods the ones for 300 bucks. Just was wondering what the eagle or manley rods can take for horsepower right now i have 400 but i will maybe increase in future to 700 max.

i would say avoid the cheaper econo rods.... do it once and do it right so you never have to question it again

Get Good rods. 300 el cheapos will find their way out of your block sooner or later.

I have seen several Eagle rods break

I have seen good success with the K1 by Carrlilo china made usa finsihed ones on STI's making 6-700 whp

Honestly when doing a full build its stupid to economize on rods which take the most stress

I agree with everyone, dont cheap out on anything in the bottom end of your block. If you want the big numbers you need quality stuff. GL with the build

thats what i was thinking becuause supertechs are good kelfords kick *** and wiescos are great but the cheapo rods bother me. I am going to machine and build it all myself at my house i have all the equitment in a shop with a hoist just need the money for the build. So no need for outside machining
