yes AMS makes a great intercooler. now get the ams upper and lower ic pipes.

 

Why don't you buy the right IC the first time and be done with it.

how about a true intercooler from renouned guys who make only intercoolers and NOTHING else, Griffin Radiator

i know i am bias because i am selling one but you can do some research and their design is by far the best

Im looking into the HKS unit as its really light! And where it sits on the car, the weight savings are compounded in handling.

 

theres alot of great intercoolers out there, ive tuned and seen many tuned, and to be honest the high rollers werent making that much of a differnce over and ebay one

look into the BYC ebay intercooler its like an AMS copy

 

I disagree 110%!

If the "high roller" FMIC's dont make much of a difference over the Ebay FMIC's.... Then why dont you see the Ebay FMIC's on cars running 8's, 9's, 10's or even well into the 11's. They heat soak very quickly, rob HP, AIT's go through the roof, etc... we have dyno tested many FMIC's.

This can be beat into the ground 10x over and it has many times on here but the bottom line will remain that Ebay FMIC's are garbage. Everyone has their opinion and im sure those that run them will reply in here.

As for the AMS copy.... the only "benefit" it has is looking like something that works.

To the OP and everyone else wanting to spend their hard earned money on something that works, was dyno proven to work, track proven to work, etc... Buy quality the first time and not the next time.

..This isn't like generic drugs where theres a brand name that costs $200 and a generic that costs $50. The generic is the same make-up because it is required to in order to be a substitute. The more expensive one is more expensive because they've devoted millions to research while the generic simply uses their research.

Generic ebay intercoolers are not tested, they're not quality controlled, no warranties, no one to contact if you have problems, fitment issues, material issues. I will put money on the fact that an ebay core would not make a pass on a sub 11 second car without blowing apart like an intake manifold from the fast and furious.

 

listen i wasnt putting down any intercoolers by any manufacturer in anyway, im using an ETS intercooler now lol so gimme a break guys but no in the testing and tuning i have seen the BYC intercooler was making some good results and not heak soaking really bad, and i saw it compared to an AMS, buschur and a Greddy i believe. Ebay intercoolers are junk the one i stated to look into was the BYC intercooler. thats it.

and again i reccomend no one to buy a $50-150 dollar intercooler on ebay, i just cleary stated to look at the BYC intercooler since ive seen it first had make good power with lil heat soak
