Yes the deluxe licp is different. I believe the licp is the same for the race/ bfic.

The fmic was worth every dollar spent

nice. buschur makes good stuff. But Evoluti0n9 if you are set on getting a 3.5" intercooler you should check out the AMS, thats what I recommend because they make great parts also.

Remember that post? I mean look at all those freaking uneccesary exclamation points. You're right that it was done at ICS but the test was done by Al from DYNOFLASH you idiot, when did I say it wasn't done there? Brand X was the ETS core because I read on the forums where Al said it was an ETS core but it wasn't stated in the video.
OK But how were we suppose to know that dude! Relax Charlie!

So since all you guys installed aftermarket Fmic's..I got a queston for ya. How was the the re-fitment on the bumper after going back on? I heard it gaps around the headlight? Any way around that?

the BFIC is 4.5 inches thick. It was a PITA lining up the bumper, but after a few tries we got it mounted and it couldn't look better. There is a slight gap but is only noticeable if you really got close and tried to find it.

I think if you go with something in the 3.5- 4.0 range you shouldn't have a problem. my two cents.

Get the Precision Intercooler. It also uses a garrett core 3.5 inches thick and can be found for 450.00 or less. The core is the main cooling component.

Thats probably why its not clearing correctly. I believe the Deluxe lower intercooler pipe is different then the one made specifically for the Race Intercooler.

Yeah they make awesome intercooler w/cast end tanks.......I was going to run one myself but picked up a good used Nisei for $400.00.

I ran one on my turbo crx - the small 350hp core, it worked great. (2) of my friends ran them on there 1G's the one went 130mph in 1/4 and the other went 120ish I believe....they both had the small 350hp cores as well.

To answer some questions: They are a universal design so you will have to make brackets etc to work, not a bolt on a go type of thing.

They can be picked up on ebay for pretty good prices.....When I was planning on putting one on I think the 750hp core was the best overall fitment by dimensions without having to do a lot of modifications for fitment.

Heres a video for you...

Thats an ETS intercooler vs. the Buschur race FMIC.

Heres a thread with all the testing of intercoolers you will ever need and you can see that the Buschur race FMIC is the best core out of the bunch.
http://buschurforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20445

Hope this info helps.

The funny thing is that's our intercooler, but it's not our core. The intercooler requested by the customer is a Garrett 4.5" core. The test is between a Garrett 4.5" and a Garrett 4.0" intercooler. Some might wonder why Buschur sells a 4.5" (BFIC w/ a Garrett Core... same core used in the video that is noted as an ETS Core)

The customer requested the biggest garrett core and that is what he receieved. The only cores we have avaiable are 3.0" , 3.5" , 4.0" , 5.0" and 6.0" no 4.5" unless it's a Garrett Core.

Cliffs: The intercoolers in the video are both GARRETT CORES.

Thanks,

Michael
