Can i use a 2005 Transfer case in a 2003 evo? I know the 05+ has the active control or whatever you call it.

im sure it would bolt up but will this work properly?

 

you mean ACD..im pretty sure you can use it and take the ACD controls out and it should work i could be wrong though.

 

maybe im wrong. is it 04+ or 05+ that has acd?

 

05+ had ACD. 03 and 04 used the same t-cases.

You can use it..obviously its gonna be locked in the default mode which I believe is tarmac. You will have to plug the fluid hole in top where the line from the ACD pump taps in though.

FWIW the 04 RS' had ACD as well as the 05 and up models.

 

04RS does not have ACD it has Front LSD like 05'+ evo's. That's the difference between it and the regular GSR 03/04Evo 8's.

I have an 04RS Transfercase in my 03 evo. Same thing.
