Because it doesn't take any specific knowledge to be able **** and moan and whine.

But it does take specific knowledge to be able to diagnose a car problem on a messageboard....and most of us don't have that skill well honed on this car yet.

My suggestion would be to take it to a dealership and let em deal with it. Don't tell em about the drag race. Not that drag racing would wear a steering part.

Rollaway did you crack your transfer case or blow the front diff?
That sounds like a blown diff to me. The way the guy described with "both wheels turning the same direction" doesn't sound like a correct example of what a broken differential would do. When they both turn the same way, then you have true traction (locking differential, spooled, solid axle, etc.), not broken spider and side gears. Who knows, maybe he was a little

That sucks to hear that you have already taken out the front differential. I was hoping the CV joints would be the weaker of the two parts. How were you driving this car? Repeated 5,000 rpm launches?

Well looks like nobody here have a fuc.... idea of what this EVO has broken. When I say that maybe the front differential is broken then a few expert jump and comment but no one say how to check. I am sorry but this forum is full of guys that only talk lot of .... and dont post any solution to the problem.

You need to calm down. In the first place, we have said that we think it is the front diff like 8 times now. Second, I was only taking your method of checking and adding to it. If you get mad at me saying that you might have been drunk when you posted, then I really think you have some issues. We all have posted things that sounded wrong when we look back at them.

And as far as this forum only being "full of guys that only talk" or whatever....I didn't know that we had to be ASE certified master mechanics to post in here. I would sure like to know what your mechanical education is, since we are all inferior to your method of inspecting a front differential.

Before you post anything and try to flame on any of us for giving our advice or opinions, remember that we are supposed to be here to help each other out.

Well I am not a ASE certified mechanich I am just a moron with a Master degree on Mechanical engineer PE.
I am not trying to flame nobody just check the way you talk about and then you understand. Any way check the first page and you are going to see who was the first one that talk about broken front diff.
When you inspect a broken diff, then talk about how to check them.

I know exactly how I typed what I said and I think everyone in here will agree with me (except you). It just seems funny that you would take such great offense to me simply correcting your method, even after I said that the reason for your error was a drunken stupor. We have all been there, no need to be ashamed. I have posted some foolish things in the past, and I have gotten ridiculed for them.

(P.S.: I lived in Puerto Rico for 4 years. Where do you live down there?)

I think we need to get back on topic and try to see if we can find him some parts or tech help.

You got the tech manual for this car yet?

I can supply the link for download if you don't have it.
