what if u put a 9.8 hotside on an evo 9 turbo?

from what i've read if you got an evo 8 with 9.8 hotside and upgrade to 10.5 its about a 10 whp gain and if you upgrade from evo 8 turbo with 9.8 to evo 9 turbo its about a 20-25whp gain i'm saving up for a 9 turbo myself...then i'll have the hotside ported exhaust manifold ported and a megan o2 housing ported and all of them swain couated

 

The turbine doesn't seem to need porting where it meets the outlet pipe.
Where is porting usually done on the turbine? Exhaust manifold to turbine area? I don't know because I haven't taken my turbo off to see the exhaust manifold.

 

FYI. The Evo 8 and Evo 9 turbo have the same exact turbine and compressor wheels. The difference is in the compressor housing, not the wheel and the hotside of the 03-04 is a 9.8. The 05-06 have the 10.5 hotside.
